Refund & Exchange Policy

At Man Made Rugs, every piece is handcrafted with care by skilled artisans and made to order with attention to detail. We encourage you to review product descriptions, sizes, and customisation details carefully before placing your order. That said, we understand that exceptional situations may arise, and our return policy is designed to be fair and transparent.


Returns Eligibility

We offer a 15-day return window, which means you have 15 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The rug must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition as received
  • It must be returned with original tags and packaging intact
  • You must provide proof of purchase
  • A continuous, unedited unboxing video is mandatory, recorded within 24 hours of delivery, clearly showing the sealed package being opened

Returns requested without an unboxing video will not be eligible for approval.


How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, please email us at contact@manmaderugs.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return
  • Supporting images/videos (including the unboxing video)

If your return request is approved, we will share detailed instructions for shipping the rug back to us at:

Items sent without prior approval will not be accepted.


Return Shipping

  • If the return is due to a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, return shipping will be arranged by Man Made Rugs at no additional cost.
  • For all other approved returns, return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Handmade Product Disclaimer

Our rugs are handcrafted using natural fibres and traditional techniques. As a result:

  • Minor variations in colour, weave, texture, or size
  • Subtle irregularities inherent to hand-knotting or hand-weaving

are natural characteristics of handmade rugs and are not considered defects.


Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your rug immediately upon delivery. If you receive an item that is:

  • Damaged in transit
  • Defective
  • Incorrect from what was ordered

contact us at contact@manmaderugs.com within 24 hours of delivery, along with the unboxing video and clear photographs. We will evaluate the issue and take appropriate action.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Custom-made or personalised rugs
  • Sale or discounted items
  • Gift cards

If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, please contact us before placing your order.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.
If your return is approved, you may place a new order separately once the refund has been processed.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned rug, we will notify you of the approval status.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days from approval
  • Banks or payment providers may take additional time to reflect the amount in your account

For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds will be processed via bank transfer, and account details will be requested at the time of approval.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund approval, please contact us at contact@manmaderugs.com.


Order Cancellations

Orders can only be cancelled before production or dispatch begins.
Once a rug has entered production or has been shipped, cancellation requests cannot be accommodated.
